Religion. Civil Rights. Partnerships. Learning.

  • Religion

Foundry’s Religion and Racial Justice initiative is inspired by Galatians 3:28—“you are all one in Christ Jesus” to guide us in living out our values with justice, equality, and inclusion. We commit to breaking down barriers, seeking healing, and reflecting Christ’s love together. Every voice matters on this journey.

    Racial Harmony

At Foundry, we pursue racial justice guided by Martin Luther King, Jr.’s words: “Injustice anywhere is a threat to justice everywhere.” Our bell tower logo symbolizes perseverance (green), justice (blue), and hope (gold). We seek racial harmony in a world often focused on conflict rather than reconciliation.

    Partnerships

At Foundry, we believe business partnerships strengthen us. Ecclesiastes 4:9 reminds us, “Two are better than one because they have a good return for their labor,” highlighting the power of unity. Working with diverse partners broadens our viewpoints and fosters community and spiritual growth.

    Learning for Youth and Adults

Proverbs 1:5 advises: “Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.” Foundry hosts study groups and discussions that deepen our understanding of racial justice and promote change and equity. We support Family Ministries in building community among youth by developing resources and activities that help them understand how faith encourages involvement in social issues.

Foundry Core Value

“We work towards racial justice and equity: work to dismantle white supremacy, rectify systemic racial inequities and injustices, and commit to intersectional approaches in our anti-racist work. We are a beloved, diverse and inclusive community where all of God’s children can bring their full selves.”

The Religion and Racial Justice Committee grew out of Foundry’s Journey to Racial Justice which conducted a survey, held workshops and focus groups, and created a strategy to reflect this Foundry core value. The committee continues to work with clergy, church leaders, and congregants to help them gain knowledge about this value and embed it in the DNA of Foundry—from worship and spirituality, to business operations, the building, education, and music.
